Germany: PM Modi calls Emergency a ‘black spot on Indian democracy’

Munich (Germany), June 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the members of Indian Diaspora on June 26 in Munich, Germany. He recalled the ‘Emergency’ and levelled it a black spot in the Indian democracy. The PM further said that our democracy won over this black spot. “Today is June 26 which is also known for the day when India's democracy that's is in DNA of every Indian was trampled and suppressed 47 years ago. Emergency was a black spot on the vibrant history of India's democracy,” the PM said.
