“Fully prepared” Pak Army Chief Gen Asim Munir visits Ind-Pak border as PM Modi set to visit Pokhran

New Delhi, Mar 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the Ind-Pak border, Pokhran in Rajasthan on March 12. As per reports, he will be witnessing a tri-services demonstration of made-in-India weapon systems in an exercise at Pokhran. Made-in-India weapon systems like Pinaka Multi barrel rocket launchers, Arjun tanks, Dhanush howitzers will be on display. As PM Modi is set to visit Pokhran, it’s impact has been felt in neighbouring Pakistan. Ahead of PM’s visit, Pak Army Chief Gen Asim Munir paid a visit to a training area near Rahim Yar Khan. Notably, Rahim Yar Khan is situated near the India-Pakistan border and just over 450 km from Rajasthan. Gen Munir has stated that armed forces are fully prepared to defend territorial sovereignty of Pak against “full spectrum of threats”. The Pak Army Chief was visiting troops engaged in an exercise in the area of Rahim Yar Khan.
