Moscow (Russia) July 09 (ANI): PM Modi is on a 2-day visit to Russia from July 08-09 for the 22nd annual India-Russia Annual Summit with Prez Putin in Moscow. As the Indian Prime Minister landed in Moscow, he was welcomed by the Russian President with a warm hug. President Putin also hosted a private dinner for Prime Minister Narendra Modi later on July 08. From a warm hug to driving an electric car for ‘dost’ PM Modi; the chemistry between the leaders has hogged the limelight. PM Modi also visited the Atomic Centre, Rosatom Pavilion in Moscow where the bonhomie gained eyeballs. PM Modi was seen patting Prez Putin’s shoulder to which the Russian commander reacted with a side hug. The gesture displays the strong ties beween the two nations, as PM Modi also lauded the India-Russia ties earlier in his speech. The Moscow visit of PM Modi marks his first visit to Russia since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine started in 2022. India has always advocated for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and restore peace. During the last in-person meeting between two leaders on the sidelines of the SCO summit in 2022, PM Modi said, “This is not an era of war”.
