Moscow (Russia), June 30 (ANI/TV BRICS): Drupad, Dhamar, Khayal, and Sufi are all styles of Indian music that Bittu Mallick has been performing around the world for two decades. He is a vibrant member of a musical dynasty; his family has been singing and playing various instruments for over a century. Bittu Mallick was born in the Indian holy city of Vrindavan, where the god Krishna is believed to have spent his childhood years during his earthly incarnation. Most of the compositions Mallick performs are meditation music, which allows people to escape from earthly concerns for a while. Bittu Mallick first came to Moscow in 2009 for an Indian music festival. The musician acknowledges the warm reception from the Russian public, which impressed him so much that he soon decided to move to Russia and expand his repertoire.
