Washington DC (USA), August 04 (ANI): Former US President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty during a hearing at a federal courthouse in Washington DC in 2020 election conspiracy charges. Trump was indicted as part of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump's efforts to reverse the presidential election results of 2020 and for orchestrating an attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya scheduled the next hearing in the Trump election interference case for August 28, the next proceeding will happen before US District Judge Tanya Chutkan. Trump was charged with; Conspiracy to defraud the United States, Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, Obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and Conspiracy against rights. For the first time in US history, Trump is the first President to face criminal charges.
