Former Nepal King Gyanendra accorded warm welcome in Birgunj

Birgunj (Nepal), May 21 (ANI): Former King of Nepal, Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah, received warm welcome on his arrival in Birgunj town of Nepal. The supporters of former Nepal king have started a campaign called ‘Raja Lao, desh bachao’ (Bring King’s rule and save the nation). It aims to bring monarchy system back in Nepal, which now has an elected government headed by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli. A civil reception was also held for the King at Birgunj's dry port of Agadi. He was also felicitated at the temple of Vindyavasini Mai and in rural areas of Gardaul. The Last King of Nepal, Gyanendra, was deposed in 2008. It brought an end to 240-year-old monarchy rule in the country.
