FIU student among dead in Florida bridge collapse confirmed Sweetwater Mayor

Miami (United States), Mar 17 (ANI): Mayor of Sweetwater Orlando Lopez confirmed that one of the confirmed victims from Thursday's collapsed bridge in Miami was a Florida International University student. Meanwhile, Miami-Dade Police Department spokesman Juan Parez said that “Unfortunately, this has turned from a rescue to a recovery operation.” He also said that the number of the dead could rise as more vehicles could still be under the concrete and twisted metal. Six people were confirmed dead after the newly built 950-ton bridge crushed vehicles on one of the busiest roads in South Florida on Thursday.
