Exiled Tibetans hold anti-China protest outside UN

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 16 (ANI): In coinciding with the 36th United Nations Human Rights Council Session, Tibetan Communities in Switzerland and Liechtenstein organised a demonstration in front of Palais des Nations to call for urgent interventions from the international communities in regards to Tibets human rights situation. One of the representatives of Tibetan community of Switzerland Dawa Norbu said, We are here to protest on our various issues and rights. The protest is being held to raise voice against inhuman activities. Since 2009, around 1,491 Tibetans have self-immolated in Tibet. 125 of them have died on the spot or shortly thereafter. The whereabouts and condition of the surviving self-immolators remain unknown.
