Earth anthem resonates with global audience

Antananarivo (Madagascar), Aug 12 (ANI): Indian poet-Ambassdor’s Earth Anthem finding place of pride across the continents. It was recently performed by the Metropolitan Orchestra of Brasilia. Conducted by Maestro Ricardo Sousa-Castro and sung by Soprano Marcela Cadima under coordination of Hoeck Miranda. In June, the anthem was performed by Italian Soprano Maria Novella Malfatti and the musicians of the Amsterdam Conservatorium. Abhay K. wrote the anthem while posted in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2008. The music of the anthem was composed by Sapan Ghimire in Nepal. It was released in 2013 in New Delhi on the occasion of the World Environment Day. The earth anthem has, by far, been translated into over 40 languages. It has also been put to music by Dr L Subramaniam and sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. Philharmonic Orchestra of Brasilia had performed it earlier in 2018.
