EAM Swaraj meets Spanish counterpart on sidelines of UNGA

New York (United States), Sep 24 (ANI): Union Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Monday held a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister of Spain, Josep Borrell Fontelles on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. EAM Swaraj also attended a meeting over drug menace, with the United States and other select countries, hosted by US President Donald Trump. Swaraj will also take part in the G4 meet to be held on September 25 besides attending the Non-Aligned Movement meeting on September 26 and meetings of the BRICS, IBSA and SAARC on September 27. Swaraj’s statement in the UNGA will take place on September 29. Swaraj was also slated to meet her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on the sidelines of the UNGA. However, after increasing reports of violence on police and army personnel in Jammu and Kashmir, the meeting was called off.
