Defence Secy Austin’s visit reflects importance of Indo-US relationship: Indian Envoy to US

Washington DC (USA), Mar 15 (ANI): Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin is going to be the first senior cabinet minister visiting India under Joe Biden’s presidency. Indian Ambassador to United States TS Sandhu said that the visit is a reflection of the importance which United States accords to India and importance of the bilateral relationship shared by both the countries. TS Sandhu said, “I will draw attention to the fact that president Biden and Prime Minister Modi have already spoken twice. As far as other important cabinet ministers are included, secretary of state, NSA, the defense secretary. So this visit is a reflection of the importance which United States accords to India and importance of our bilateral relationship. Secretary Austin is going to be the first senior cabinet minister visiting India and India is looking forward to his visit.” Austin will visit India from March 19 to March 21
