Kathmandu (Nepal), April 27, (ANI): Nepal marked the 10th anniversary of the devastating 2015 earthquake with a minute of silence and a candlelight vigil. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli paid tribute beneath the replica of the Dharahara Tower, which collapsed during the 7.8-magnitude quake, killing dozens. Though the new Dharahara was rebuilt, reconstruction efforts faced delays and political interference. Locals and conservationists organized a vigil at Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to honor the 8,969 lives lost. The theme for the commemoration was "Let’s Build Safe Infrastructure, Let’s Stay Safe from Earthquakes."
