Kathmandu (Nepal), Jul 27 (ANI): At least eight people died in a landslide in Nepal’s Rasuwa district in northern Nepal. Search for one more person is underway. People died when their houses got buried in the landslide. The landslide obstructed the Syafru-Rasuwagadhi highway and disrupted electricity, telephone and customs duty task in the area. It also buried a temporary police post at Timure, the gateway to Gosainkunda Municipality. Monsoon rains, which start in June and continue through September, are important for farming-dependent Nepal, but they also cause heavy loss of life and property damage each year.
