Muan County (South Korea) Dec 30 (ANI): The deadliest air accident ever in South Korea where 179 people were killed on December 29. The tragic accident happened when a South Korean airliner ‘Jeju Airlines’ belly-landed and skidded off the end of the runway. The crash ended up erupting in a huge fireball as it slammed into a wall at Muan International Airport. Authorities are working to rescue people in the tail section, an airport official told Reuters shortly after the crash. Meanwhile, suspended South Korean President Yoon Suk offered "deepest condolences" to the victim’s families. Jeju Air CEO Kim E-bae also issued an apology and expressed condolences to the victims' families. The airline has promised full support for the families, including financial assistance. As per the transport ministry, it is the deadliest air accident of a South Korean airline in nearly three decades since 1997
