Dec 23, 2025: (ANI): Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described the situation in Greenland as “serious” amid renewed remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump about taking control of the Arctic island. Frederiksen traveled to the Greenlandic capital Nuuk following talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, where discussions focused on strengthening security across the wider Arctic region. Denmark and Greenland reiterated that the island is not for sale and that its sovereignty is not open for negotiation
