COVID-19: Teen dies after police thrashes him during lockdown in POK’s Kotli

Kotli (PoK), Mar 28 (ANI): A teenager died on March 28 in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK)’s Kotli after he was beaten and chased by the local police. A teenager identified as Zeeshan Ayub, a resident of Gulhar area of Kotli. According to the eyewitnesses, the incident took place when the deceased was heading to his home when the police patrol stopped him and thrashed him, he fell into a deep ditch when he ran to save his life. The teen was taken to local hospital on Friday night where he scrummed to his injuries. Anguish over their child’s death, Zeeshan’s family and local people staged a protest march in the town and blamed the police for carrying out atrocities in the name of lockdown in the occupied region. The people in Pakistan occupied Kashmir are fear about outbreak of coronavirus because of continuous movement of people from Punjab and other provinces of Pakistan. They also requested for a complete ban of vehicular movement into the occupied PoK and Gilgit Baltistan as number of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan are rising sharply.
