Sindh (Pakistan), Apr 01 (ANI): Several members of Hindu and Christian communities said that they are being denied ration by authorities in Pakistan's Sindh Province amid coronavirus pandemic. They were denied ration by authorities because of their religion. While speaking to ANI, one of the Hindu locals said, "My son is a rickshaw-puller and he is running our family but the situation is getting worst here. It's been more than a week that we are sitting at our homes but the authorities haven't sent us any food item yet." "Authorities are not helping us during lockdown, ration is also not being provided to us because we are part of a minority community." he added. Adding to this, another Christian local said, "We are facing the inequality because we are from Christian community. We have lost all our source of earnings amid coronavirus outbreak." One more Christian local said, "Initially, authorities said everyone would get ration during lockdown but later they denied giving it to Christians. We are also Pakistani and have been living in Karachi. Such discrimination on the basis of religion is not fair."
