Ludhiana (Punjab), Dec 25 (ANI): After Youth Akali Dal workers blackened the statue of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in Punjab's Ludhiana on Tuesday over 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Ludhiana Congress party workers cleaned it. One of the Congress workers said, “Whosoever did this activity we will not spare that person at any cost and just to be in limelight some people have intentionally did this which is really shameful”. Youth Akali Dal workers carried out the act in full public glare and blamed Rajiv Gandhi for the riots. Earlier in the month, the Supreme Court (SC) convicted Congress leader Sajjan Kumar for his involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
