CMG Forum: Media giants unite to cover Winter Olympics Beijing

Beijing (China), Feb 07 (ANI): Participants, Representatives of almost 150 companies from different countries attended the first global media innovation forum in the Chinese capital. The CMG forum witnessed the discussion over technology development. One of the main topics discussed was the coverage of XXIV Winter Olympics in Beijing. During the forum, the head of the China Media Corporation, Shen Haixiong, also spoke about the recent launch of world’s first 24hr sports channel broadcasting in 4k format. The importance of International Media Cooperation was also discussed at the forum. In order to ensure the necessary security measures- physical access to the competition is closed for foreign fans, the exchange of materials between TV channels is provided by partnership agreements. Paying special attention to the coverage of Winter Olympics in Beijing, TV BRICS along with partners from association countries, it successfully broadcasts the values of Olympic movement. General Director of International Network, Zhanna Tolstikova spoke about the importance of the work Chinese reporters and cameramen do. Heads of other Media & representatives of sports associations also spoke at the forum. Following the meeting, the China Media Corporation together with Arab Broadcasting Union, The European News Exchange and other organisations, announced the joint initiative of the forum.
