Children tie rakhi to President Ram Nath Kovind on Raksha Bandhan

New Delhi, Aug 26 (ANI): On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, children tied rakhi to President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday. Kovind’s wife Savita Kovind was also present at the President’s house. Specially-abled children also tied rakhi to President Kovind. Along with the President, the children also tied rakhi to his wife. Raksha Bandhan is about brothers taking pledge to protect their sisters’ honour and respect owing to their relationship. Significance of this festival lies in celebrating the bond of love of between brothers and sisters.
