Cannes 2022: Prasoon Joshi delighted as India gets ‘Country of Honour’ tag, says ‘this year is special’

Cannes (France), May 18 (ANI): Lyricist and Chairman of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Prasoon Joshi on May 17, during his visit to the 75th Cannes Film Festival expressed his happiness over India’s tag as ‘Country of Honour’ and called the year 2022 a ‘special year’. “India has always come to Cannes. There are two parts to Cannes, one is the market and the other is where the films are showcased, both are very important for us. This is a special year because India is the County of Honour,” he said.He added, “GoI and all the filmmakers together have taken this very seriously and we are looking forward to having very fruitful discussions at the industry level and partnership level between different bodies The next era can belong to India, especially in terms of global ideas coming out of India.”
