British Prime Minister arrives in Japan to discuss trade, North Korea

Osaka (Japan), Aug 30 (ANI): British Prime Minister Theresa May arrived in Japan on Wednesday to meet her counterpart Shinzo Abe. During her three-day visit, PM May is expected to ease corporate Japan's worries about Brexit. May's first trip to Japan as prime minister comes at a difficult moment, with Japanese attention focused on North Korea's Tuesday missile test and another focus on Britain's Brexit negotiators recently on the receiving end of sharp criticism from EU officials. However, Britain is looking at ways to replicate the trade deals that the EU has with external countries when it leaves the bloc in March 2019. The British Prime Minister also called on China to put more pressure on North Korea to stop missile tests, saying Beijing plays a massive role in international efforts to prevent what the PM described as significant provocation by Pyongyang.
