Mashhad and Tehran (Iran), Dec 31 (ANI): Annual nation-wide pro-government rallies were held in Iran on Saturday (December 30) to mark the end of the unrest that shook the country in 2009, after price protests earlier in the week turned political in a dozen cities. State television showed marchers carrying banners in support of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran's second largest city of Mashhad and a similar rally in the capital Tehran.
