Germany, Jan 08 (ANI): Fate of the European Union's most powerful ruler is on the line, as German Chancellor Angela Merkel has entered yet another round of negotiations to form a government and keep her job. She's going into five days of talks between her conservatives, the Christian Democratic Union, and chief rivals, the Social Democrats, to renew their so-called 'grand coalition' in parliament. The last German election in September was indecisive as Merkel's party came out strongest of the multitude, but not enough to rule unchallenged. A rebellion has formed inside the Social Democrats' ranks calling for no coalition at all.
