Afghan forces end 13-hour hotel siege in Kabul

Kabul (Afghanistan), Jan 22 (ANI): At least 18 people were killed after terrorists dressed in Army uniforms stormed into one of the Kabul's luxury Intercontinental Hotel and seized hostages on Sunday. Afghanistan security forces managed to end the siege after 13-hour-long gun battle between terrorists and security forces. More than 150 hotel guests were evacuated from the hotel after the siege. Fire broke out in the hotel due to prolonged gun battle. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
