Villa Clara (Cuba), Dec 27 (ANI): At least 39 people have been injured at a fireworks explosion at the annual Parrandas festival in Cuba. The annual spectacular Christmas eve Parrandas festival in the Cuban town of Remedios turned into a tragedy following the mishap. Injured people were rushed to hospital after they received severe burns due to an explosion. But the show went on even after the incident as the participants and tourists got up very close to the launching fireworks despite the earlier explosion. Two of the town's neighborhoods are pitted against each other in this festival with each side competing to put on the most spectacular show. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
