Rupandehi (Nepal), April 23 (ANI): The grandparents of 27-year-old Sudip Neupane are devastated and heartbroken. The elderly couple, both in their eighties, are in a state of shock and deep sorrow after losing their grandson in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. Sudip was visiting the scenic region often referred to as the "Mini-Switzerland of India" with his mother, sister, and brother-in-law when terrorists opened fire. The tragic assault claimed Sudip’s life, leaving his family and loved ones in grief. Sudip, accompanied by his mother Rima Pandey, sister Sushma, and brother-in-law Ujjwal Kafle, had set out on a trip to Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, April 19. On April 22, a deadly attack occurred in Pahalgam, a well-known tourist hotspot in the picturesque, mountainous region that typically sees a surge of visitors during the summer. India is in mourning over the loss of innocent lives, with the victims' coffins brought to Srinagar airport. Indian Home Minister Amit Shah visited Pahalgam earlier on Wednesday to pay his respects to the deceased. This incident is among the most significant terror attacks since the revocation of Article 370 in 2019. In response, security forces initiated search operations on Wednesday to apprehend those responsible.
