1,500 villagers of Assam’s Maloibari excluded from NRC list

Maloibari (Assam), : Villagers of Maloibari which comes under the district of Kamrup are in shock after knowing that 1,500 villagers’ names have not been listed in National Register of Citizens (NRC) final list despite of possessing documents. Maloibari under the district of Kamrup is an interior village having maximum population of Bengali Hindus. Most of them are daily workers who earn their bread and butter by working every day. People of East Maloibari are left with one thought that what will their future now? They just have an appeal to the government to setup alternatives like Foreign Tribunal court to an easy access place where they can once again prove their identity through their documents.
