11 people injured in avalanche in Western Nepal

Mustang (Nepal), Nov 15, 2021, (ANI): Almost 11 people including 7 students have been wounded due to an avalanche in Mustang District of Western Nepal. As per the officials, locals of Kowang, Larjung and Nurikot got injured as they flee for their lives as the avalanche started to roll down the mountain enveloping the residential area. The avalanche fell from Tukuche or Manapathi Mountain and rolled over Janadarsha Amarsingh High School at the time when school was running classes.A team of police personnel has been mobilized in the avalanche area as this is likely to cause humanitarian crisis. The avalanche that occurred on Sunday is reportedly the biggest ever in the area.The avalanche has affected animals as it is a pasture land used by locals to take their cattle.
