Aryan Festival: Traditional extravaganza draws tourists to Leh

Batalik (Jammu & Kashmir), Aug 31 (ANI): The two-day Aryan Festival kicked-off in Batalik of Jammu and Kashmir’s Leh and Kargil districts. The festival was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju at Biama, Garkone. Speaking on the occasion, Kiren Rijiju appreciated Aryans for persevering their culture, traditions and customs despite the advancement made in every sphere of life. He said that one deserves inspiration while visiting the area for locals have withstood all odds and have strived hard for their survival in the tough terrains. Drokpas community in the region celebrates the festival with full fervor. The mesmerising dance form with unique traditional attires in the festival attracts tourists from far off places.
