New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission marked another giant leap in its lunar quest as the ‘Vikram’ lander module of the spacecraft successfully separated from the propulsion module on August 17. Talking to ANI, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said that it is a great achievement and the country is proud of it. He also said that this is one unique mission that is not only looked up to by India but the entire world. “It is a great achievement and the country is proud of it...The world’s eyes are on Chandrayaan 3 and from a scientific point of view this is one unique mission that is not only looked up to by India but the entire world. The input, the pictures provided by the Chandrayaan series are most of the time first of its kind...Even though America’s Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in 1969, yet it was our Chandrayaan that brought pictures of water on the moon. This awakened the possibility of human habitat directly or indirectly there...This time Chandrayaan 3 is being looked up by other nations because of the location being chosen for its landing...” said Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
