“World is much bigger than Europe” Russia’s FM Lavrov echoes EAM Jaishankar on changing global order

New Delhi, November 28 (ANI): Amid the current changing global order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov inspired by EAM Jaishankar’s thought. Lavrov quoted his Indian Counterpart S Jaishankar’s remark on West to elaborate the current change in global order. He quoted Jaishankar's remarks that the "world is much more than Europe" and the "world is much more than the West". “I would like to quote my Indian colleague, Foreign Minister Jaishankar, as an illustration, who said that the World is much bigger than Europe. By saying this he obviously meant that the world is much bigger than the West,” Lavrov said. Sergei Lavrov made these remarks at the Primakov Readings IX International Forum in Moscow. Notably, India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made similar remarks while defending India’s position buying Russian oil. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made these remarks at Globsec 2022 Fourm in Bratislava, Slovakia. Jaishankar defended India’s stance on importing Russian Oil during the Ukraine war despite Western media pressure.
