Ranchi (Jharkhand), October 25 (ANI): There was palpable excitement among Hockey fans in Ranchi on October 25 as the Chinese Women’s Hockey Team arrived at the Birsa Munda Airport. The team received a warm reception, setting the stage for an electrifying start of the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in Ranchi. The team’s arrival was marked by a welcome ceremony at the airport, where local dignitaries, fans, and organisers greeted them with traditional music and dance performances. They are eagerly waiting for the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023, to be played at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh AstroTurf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi from October 27 to November 5. The tournament promises intense battles as six teams - India, Thailand, Korea, China, Malaysia, and Japan will lock horns with each other, a Hockey India release said.
