Barmer (Rajasthan), May 18 (ANI): Intense scorching heat disrupted lives in Rajasthan’s Barmer. People were seen drinking lemon water and eating watermelon to beat the heat. The maximum and minimum temperature was recorded at 47 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. “The maximum temperature recorded in Barmer is 46.5 degrees Celsius, becoming the second hottest place in the country...In Eastern Rajasthan, the maximum temperature is recorded between 45-46 degrees Celsius...Severe heat wave will continue to persist in Rajasthan for a minimum of seven days,” said Radheshyam Sharma.
