Kupwara (J&K), September 11 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the ‘Bangus Adventure Festival', in Kupwara district of North Kashmir, on September 10. In his address, the Lt Governor welcomed the visiting tourists to J&K and spoke about how several offbeat locations offer the best travel experience in Kashmir and how initiatives like these will boost tourism in Kashmir and make Kashmir the best tourist spot overall. The residents also actively participated in the festival and expressed their excitement for the festival. They were seen dancing and enjoying the musical and cultural programs and spoke about how these festivals will help enhance the overall growth of J&K. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, "Several offbeat destinations in J&K offer the best travel experience for every weather condition. We should do all in our power to promote these tourist spots to make J&K the best tourist spot in the world." He further added that promoting tourism in J&K will create employment opportunities for youngsters, will bring prosperity in the homes of the residents and will also promote peace and harmony in the valley. Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, said, "This is the biggest tourism event organized in J&K after 2021. It will create employment opportunities. Also, we should focus more on sustainable development, like we’ve started doing recently.”
