Wildlife Department arranges food for Hangul during winter in Dachigam National Park

Srinagar, Feb 02, 2026 (ANI): Wildlife Department has been arranging food for Hangul during winter in Dachigam National Park, situated in Harwan area outskirts Srinagar. After snowfall, it becomes difficult for the stags known as ‘Hangul’ to get proper food in upper reaches of the century. This precious species always come down with an aim to get food arranged by well trained staff at particular spots. Generally, during winter months from December to February, Kashmir valley always receives good snowfall and this time, whole staff of Dachigam National Park starts doing advance preparation to arrange the food for Hangul. In this, Wildlife Department always faced a lot of challenges to reach particular spots of the park. Despite the challenges, these well trained staff manage to reach the selective spots of oak patch of the century with the help of electric carts
