Gujarat (Ahmedabad), September 01 (ANI): Speaking to ANI on the Chandrayaan-3 Mission, Director of the Space Applications Centre (SAC) Nilesh M. Desai informed that the Sulphur on the Moon is visible in a very prominent way, sulphur had been found on the surface of the moon but not so prominently. Furthermore, he added, “Oxygen traces are also there but they are looking for hydrogen availability also because after both hydrogen and oxygen put together we can think of generating water in future.” Nilesh M. Desai said, “Sulphur is visible in a very prominent way. Earlier too sulphur had been found on the surface of the moon but not so prominently. So, that is the unique point of observation which we have got recently. Further analysis is still going on but this is a good indication that sulphur is available...Apart from that, Oxygen traces are also there but they are looking for hydrogen availability also because after both hydrogen and oxygen put together we can think of generating water in future. But it will need a lot of other processing and other aspects before we finally end up with the development of getting water sources on the moon source which us very essential if we want to have space habitat or space colonies...”
