“We had initiated action…” MEA on cancelling JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport

New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): While addressing a press briefing External Affairs Minister spokesperson Randir Jaiswal on May 30 informed that MEA had initiated action against suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna. The action has been initiated under the provisions of Passport Act 1967 for revocation of diplomatic passport, Randir Jaiswal informed further. He said, “We have received a request from Karnataka govt on May 21, on May 23 as per the Indian passport act we had initiated action for cancelation of passport of Member of Parliament Prajwal Revanna. On May 23 we issued a show-cause notice as per procedure to him, he as to respond to the show-cause notice within 10 days and we are waiting for his response, accordingly we will take things forward once we hear from him or once 10-day period expires.”
