Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday addressed a state-wide video conference on GST reforms and the “Vocal for Local” campaign, in which over 225 industry associations and 3,500 traders took part. The Chief Minister urged industrialists to pass on the benefits of tax simplification and actively support the Swadeshi movement. Industry leaders from Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, and Vadodara welcomed the reforms as a boost for trade and citizens. Trade bodies said the simplified structure is industry-friendly and also praised the government’s vision, calling it a step that strengthens both the economy and consumer confidence.
