Gandhinagar (Gujarat), July 11 (ANI): Vice Chancellor of Australia-based Deakin University, Prof Iain Martin paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel on July 11. The Gujarat CM felicitated the Australian delegate in Gandhinagar and later held a meeting to discuss developments in the state. Australian Consulate-General in Mumbai Paul Murphy and a delegation also accompanied the Australian delegation. "In July 2024, Deakin University welcomed its first students to our new Gift City campus. That has been momentous for us, for the state of Gujarat and India. But what is most incredible, is that the campus was delivered 18 months from idea to approval to new build to first status. I think that is a real testament to both Gift City, the state of Gujarat but also New India's approach, guided by the NEP to shape and refine and enhance the education system for the future of the country. For me as Vice Chancellor, it has been an enormous privilege to be part of that journey," said Prof Iain Martin.
