Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse: From Scientists to Engineers from Roorkee, all join hands in rescue mission

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), November 23 (ANI): Preparations to evacuate the workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel are in the final stage. ‘Good news’ is likely to come as the workers are expected to be pulled out from the tunnel today. To facilitate swifter evacuation, welding experts have been called from Delhi to the tunnel site. Tunnelling engineers from CIMFR Roorkee have also joined the rescue operation. International tunnelling expert Arnold Dix is already on the scene and playing a significant role in the rescue effort. Dix had previously assured that the workers would be safely evacuated. 41 labourers have been trapped inside the Uttarkashi Silkyara Tunnel since Nov 12.
