Udhampur fortified with multi-tier security as first batch of pilgrims depart for Amarnath Yatra

Udhampur (J&K) Pilgrims across the country all set to embark on a spiritual journey as the Amarnath Yatra begins on June 29. The arrangements for devotees are in place ahead of the 52-day-long pilgrimage. Security has been tightened across J&K in anticipation of the arrival of people from across India. The first base camp of Amarnath Yatra in Udhampur has been fortified, with armed forces maintaining strict vigilance. CCTVs have been installed on National Highways to enhance security and address traffic concerns. Drones have been deployed to assist security forces in monitoring suspicious activities. On June 28, J&K LG Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of pilgrims from Amarnath Yatra base camp in Jammu. The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to commence on June 29 and conclude on August 19.
