Tourists throng Kashmir to enjoy breath-taking scenic beauty despite the harsh winter chill

Srinagar (J&K), January 18, 2026: (ANI): Despite the harsh winter and peak of Chillai Kalaan, tourists continue to flock to the Kashmir Valley to experience its breathtaking scenic beauty. Winter tourism is witnessing a gradual rise, with popular destinations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg attracting maximum visitors due to snowfall. Srinagar, though facing severe cold and dry weather, is also seeing increased tourist activity, with visitors enjoying local sightseeing and shikara rides on the iconic Dal Lake.
