New Delhi, Nov 13 (ANI): The national capital witnessed a thick layer of smog on November 13, following the Diwali celebrations. The aftermath resulted in severe pollution throughout the city, exacerbating the already deteriorating air quality crisis. Post-Diwali, Delhi-NCR’s air quality has significantly deteriorated, falling into the ‘Severe’ category. This comes after the Delhiites indulged in bursting firecrackers on Diwali night, despite a strict ban on fireworks in the national capital. Visuals from various parts of Delhi showed thick haze covering the roads, significantly reducing visibility and making it difficult to see beyond a few hundred metres. Delhi saw its best air quality on Diwali day in 8 years, but the next day witnessed a 15% increase in air pollution compared to last year.
