Bengaluru, April 15 (ANI): India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on April 15 held a press conference in Bengaluru where he spoke over the latest escalation in the Middle East. While addressing a query of a presser over the seizure of a container ship carrying 17 Indians onboard in the Strait of Hormuz, EAM said he talked with his Iranian counterpart and pressed him regarding the release of Indians captured. He said, the captured people should be released and they should not be detained. He said, “You are aware that when we speak about ‘Modi ki Guarantee’, ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ is inside the country, ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ is outside the country. Whenever Indians travel abroad this guarantee Modi gives, they can take travel insurance but they get a free guarantee from Modi. The free guarantee from Modi is whatever trouble you are in we are there for you…now these people were on a Portugal-flagged ship when the ship was taken over by Iranian force…yesterday night I spoke to my Iranian counterpart, I pressed him, I said him there are seventeen crew members from India we are making the point to the Iranian Government that these people should be released, they should not be detained after that there have been some follow up conversations between our Embassy and our Iranian authority…for me until first point is I want our embassy people to go there meet these people that will be my first point to satisfaction.
