Lucknow (UP), February 19 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 19 made a scathing attack on the Congress party over the Bharat Ratna Award to the former Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh, saying that they opposed it as they do not want to honor the poor, Dalits, farmers and laborers.“We got the opportunity to confer Bharat Ratna Award to Chaudhary Charan Singh…Congress and its allies did not like it…They opposed when we talked about him in the parliament…They think Bharat Ratna is reserved for their family only…That is why they did not confer Bharat Ratna to Baba Saheb Ambedkar…They do not like to honor poor, Dalits farmers and laborers,” said PM Modi.
