“Technical halt...”: MEA on flight with Indians grounded in France

New Delhi, December 29 (ANI): The A-340 aircraft, with 303 Indian passengers, that was grounded in France over suspected human trafficking, landed in Mumbai on December 26. The aircraft was headed to Nicaragua but was grounded “on a technical halt” last week by authorities at the Vatry airport in France. A few passengers were detained in France and those who landed in Mumbai were questioned extensively by immigration officials. Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi addressed the situation, providing insights into circumstances surrounding the incident. He said, “It was grounded during a technical halt near Paris...and a few Indians, I don't have the exact numbers stayed back there, and I would have to refer you to the French authorities because this is being dealt by French authorities as per their local laws...The specific Indians who are there, if they require any assistance from us, we would extend consular assistance
