Swarm of mosquitoes form ‘tornado’ over Pune, cause panic among residents

Pune (Maharashtra), February 12 (ANI): An unusual phenomenon of “Mosquito Tornado” has caused panic among the residents of Keshavnagar and Kharadi Gavthan area in Pune. The stretch of the Mula Mutha river, spanning from Mundhwa Bridge to Kharadi Gaonthan, has witnessed a significant rise in water levels. This has resulted in rising numbers of mosquitos in the area. The presence of swarms of mosquitoes hovering over the river and in the nearby areas have become a major cause of concern for residents. After several complaints, the workers of Pune Municipal Corporation have started removing the excess water and hyacinth plants.
