Gujarat’s regional film industry is booming, thanks to the state government's film subsidy scheme. Since 2016, ₹5-75 lakh financial aid has supported more than 230 films, reviving Gujarati cinema. The scheme has spurred investment, enabling filmmakers to explore diverse genres, from socio-cultural dramas to thrillers. Producers credit the subsidy for industry growth, drawing dedicated audiences. With more storytellers leveraging this initiative, Gujarati cinema is set for a bright future, showcasing rich cultural narratives and compelling storytelling.
