The Indian Railways' major plan to boost the connectivity in J&K is set to get a boost with world’s highest bridge. In historic feet, Indian Railways on June 16 carried out a successful extensive inspection of the Chenab Bridge.During the extensive inspection of Chenab Bridge, a wagon of Indian Railways passed through the bridge. The bridge at a height of 359 metres above Chenab River, is 35 meters taller than Paris' Eiffel Tower. The arch bridge between Bakkal and Kauri is a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link project. The bridge will be able to withstand winds with speeds up to 260 kmph and is expected to have a lifespan of 120 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on J&K visit said that the citizens will feel proud after witnessing the bridge
